Treatment Of Women In Marriage According To Quran And Islam

In today ' s world, one of the biggest issues is to segregate truth from fiction and right from wrong. Tribe have become so cunningly quick that they somehow end up presenting wrong in the most right way. This is especially direct in situation of fabrication of Islam. Forces collaborating with each other beneath the combined reason of defaming Islam present the world with a distorted report of Islam. There seem to be certain - soft targets - which most of ill intentioned forces hang around to present the world with distorted and defamed image of Islam. The role of women in Islam in its many facets seems to be the most favorite target of ill - wishers of Islam. As stated earlier, segregation of right from wrong has become quite a difficult task, especially due to the influence of popular media. Since Holy Quran serves to be the written manifesto of Islam and Muslims, one of the ways to find reality about such claims is to observe the message Qur ' an gives regarding the treatment of women in different societal facets. Some of it is discussed in this article to give you a better idea of Islamic message of treating women as a whole. Observing The Will Of Women In Marriage One of the most common misperceptions about Islam is that it does not observe any kind of rights of women as far as marriage is concerned. Well, as stated earlier, this is no more than a fabricated lie. In fact, Islam was the first religion of modern world history that preached about granting women equal social rights as that to men, especially in a matter as important as marriage. The truth is that Quran clearly states that women should not be possessed and suppressed against their will in such a critical matter. Islam also insists on delivery of dowry to women ( not their parents ) as an established right of their marriage. It also allows women to choose whoever they want to marry or whoever they want to refuse. - O ye who believe! Ye are forbidden to inherit women against their will - - ( Quran 4: 19 ) Treating Women With Respect And Honor After Marriage Respect, honor, and courtesy is the call of Islam as far as treating wives is concerned, unlike the propaganda that Islam does not let women treated equally like men. As stated earlier, the best way to judge this fact is from Quran teaching in this regard. A couple of verses are narrated here for better reference: - Live with them on a footing of kindness and equity. If ye take a dislike to them it may be that ye dislike a thing, and Allah brings about through it a great deal of good. - ( An - Nisa ': 19 ) " And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your ( hearts ): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect. " ( Ar - Rum: 21 ) Conclusion The most logical approach to finding the truth about any issue is searching about it by your own self rather than falling blindly for a misled propaganda.
